Teachers’ and Parents’ feedback on the 2023 Year 6 SATs

It is fair to say that the latest set of Year 6 SATs have received a lot of attention in the media, with much of it focusing on the perceived difficulty of the tests (particularly the now notorious reading test) and the subsequent impact this has had on wellbeing – both that of the children taking the tests, as well as the teachers preparing children.

To find out more we surveyed 200 teachers and parents of year 6 children, to capture their feedback on the latest tests, and find out what they think about SATs more generally.
